ACT Pro Bono Clearing House(ACT Law Society)
Provides free legal advice on simple legal matters. Assists in determining a legal problem and the possible need for engaging the services

LEGAL AID OFFICE ACT
Provides free legal advice and assistance to everyone, however eligibility criteria apply for legal
representation matters. Referrals, for Family Law, Child Support, Wills & employment matters.
Legal representation is available in some instances for those not able to afford a private solicitor.

WELFARE RIGHTS AND LEGAL CENTRE

1. Welfare rights provides free legal advice, information & advocacy in private & public
tenancy & on Centrelink benefits & legal aid appeals for people on low incomeshousing
issues (private & public tenancy)
2. One-off Night time free legal advice & referral in all areas of law (including legal aid
appeals) for people on low incomes.

STREET LAW (Welfare Rights & Legal service project)
 Free outreach legal service for people who are homeless or at risk of same. Advice &

Consumer Law Centre of the ACT (CLC)
The CLC is a project of Care Financial Counselling service. Provides free legal assistance & advice to low to moderate income earners, primarily in the areas of consumer credit, teelecommunications & utilities, aswell as general fair trading & consumer protection.
